Rol de enfermería en el afrontamiento ante proceso de amputación en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo II

Abstract

En el área de salud la relación que el profesional de enfermería tenga con el paciente es primordial ya que los primeros son los que se encargan del cuidado de los segundos. La siguiente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el rol de enfermería en el afrontamiento ante proceso de amputación en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo II, para esto se utiliza como instrumento de investigación la entrevista que se realiza a las tres enfermeras del Subcentro de salud “Indio Guayas” y las fichas de observación realizadas en el mismo lugar en el momento en que un paciente llega a realizarse las curaciones, para de esta manera poder comprobar la hipótesis. Después de los resultados obtenidos en las entrevistas es evidente que las enfermeras están capacitadas para el correcto trato con el paciente y saber atender sus necesidades. Mediante las entrevistas realizadas a los profesionales de Enfermería se pudo identificar que de manera constante se desempeña el rol asistencial y educativo. Siendo el primero el más recurrente porque se aplica mediante la clínica y lo que este estudio busca; se desempeña mediante la escucha activa y la comunicación asertiva entre enfermero y paciente.

In the health area, the relationship that the nursing professional has with the patient is primordial since the first ones are in charge of the care of the second ones. The following investigation has the objective of analyzing the role of nurses in coping with the amputation process in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. For this purpose, the investigation instrument used is an interview with the three nurses of the "Indio Guayas" Health Sub-center and the observation forms made in the same place at the moment a patient arrives to be treated, in order to verify the hypothesis. After the results obtained in the interviews, it is evident that the nurses are trained in the correct treatment of the patient and know how to attend to his needs. Through the interviews conducted with the nursing professionals, it was possible to identify that they are constantly performing their healthcare and educational role. The former is the most recurrent because it is applied through the clinic and what this study seeks; it is performed through active listening and assertive communication between nurse and patient.
