| dc.description | Introducción: La violencia doméstica es catalogada como un patrón de conducta que
existe entre los miembros de una familia, y que trae varias consecuencias a corto y
largo plazo. A nivel mundial, se estima que hasta mil millones de niños de 2 a 17 años
han sufrido violencia física, sexual o emocional o negligencia dentro del ámbito
intrafamiliar.
Objetivo: Determinar la frecuencia de las manifestaciones psiquiátricas en pacientes
entre 16 y 20 años con antecedentes de violencia intrafamiliar atendidos en el Hospital
General del Norte de Guayaquil-IESS Los Ceibos durante el período 2019 – 2022.
Materiales y Métodos: El presente estudio tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, con una
metodología observacional, no experimental, retrospectivo, que presenta como base
a una población entre los 16 y 20 años. Los diagnósticos se encuentran registrados
en el sistema AS400. Las variables que se evaluaron fueron: edad, sexo, trastornos
psiquiátricos, tipo de violencia que recibieron, e ideas de intento de suicidio.
Resultados: Se realiza la evaluación de 120 casos de pacientes con diagnósticos
psiquiátricos, edad promedio 17 años, sexo femenino más frecuente. El episodio
depresivo fue el más frecuente con el 36.7% (n=44), seguido de Trastorno de
ansiedad 28.3% (n=34). El tipo de violencia que predominó fue la psicológica con un
38% (n=46), el 41% refirió intento de suicidio.
Conclusión: Existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre el tipo de violencia
e Intento de suicidio (RHO= -0.291; p = 0.001). La violencia intrafamiliar en
cualquiera de sus presentaciones aumenta el riesgo de enfermedades psiquiátricas
en los adolescentes, provocando incluso la ideación suicida. | |
| dc.description | Introduction: Domestic violence is classified as a pattern of behavior that exists
among the members of a family, and that brings several consequences in the short
and long term. Globally, it is estimated that up to one billion children between the ages
of 2 and 17 have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional violence or neglect within
the family.
Objective: To determine the frequency of psychiatric manifestations in patients
between 16 and 20 years old with a history of intrafamily violence treated at the
General Hospital of the North of Guayaquil-IESS Los Ceibos during the period 2019 -
2022.
Materials and Methods: This study has a quantitative approach, with an
observational, non-experimental, retrospective methodology, which is based on a
population between 16 and 20. The diagnoses are registered in the AS400 system.
The variables that were evaluated were: age, sex, psychiatric disorders, type of
violence they received, and suicide attempt.
Results: The evaluation of 120 cases of patients with psychiatric diagnoses was
carried out, average age 17 years, most frequent female sex. The depressive episode
was the most frequent with 36.7% (n=44), followed by anxiety disorder 28.3% (n=34).
The type of violence that prevailed was psychological with 38% (n=46), 41% reported
attempted suicide.
Conclusion: There is a statistically significant relationship between the type of
violence and suicide attempt (RHO= -0.291; p = 0.001). Domestic violence in any of
its forms increases the risk of psychiatric illnesses in adolescents, even causing
suicidal ideation. | |
