tratamiento. | |
dc.description | Introduction: Treatments with osseointegrated implants are becoming more frequent and the best option to
replace missing teeth. The evolution of the peri-implant tissues is of multifactorial origin, they can be
associated with factors of the implant system or the oral health of the patient, unfavorable to the stability of
the tissues. Objective: To describe the prevalence of peri-implant tissue recession associated with immediate
unitary implants in the anterior sector of the maxilla. Materials and methods: Scientific review of qualitative
approach, cross-sectional, retrospective with non-experimental analytical descriptive design. Collecting by
metasearch engines such as Pubmed, Scopus, and Science direct. Selecting 42 articles for data collection.
Results: The health of the peri-implant tissues was characterized by the absence of symptoms of
inflammation, without presenting bone loss. The structure of the implant is an important factor, as the study
reveals that the platform switch preserves the marginal ridge, the textured surface influences tissue healing,
and the tapered connection prevents bacterial destruction. Regarding the type of prosthetic rehabilitation,
there is not enough evidence to establish a specific crown. The immediate loading protocol was the most
recommended to preserve aesthetics. The control and maintenance phase will be configured in an estimated
time of 3 and 6 months, which will include clinical and radiographic evaluation to verify the health status of the
tissues. Conclusion: The prevalence of recession of peri-implant tissues can be counteracted with a correct
diagnosis and treatment plan. | |
