| dc.description | Este trabajo analiza el caso de Ignacio, un paciente que atiende a consulta psicológica por los recurrentes estallidos de ira en el campo laboral. El resultado de las sesiones sugiere, a su impotencia sexual, como una causa crítica para el síntoma. Para Ignacio, el sentido de “ser hombre” se vehiculiza por medio de una cadena de significantes permeadas por un discurso específico del gran Otro: el imperativo masculino del poder y del goce en el ejercicio de este poder. Su impotencia sexual fractura su posibilidad de cumplir con este imperativo: en su sexualidad hay un no poder sobre el cual no tiene control, y con el cuál, se identifica. Finalmente, este trabajo detalla cómo la consulta se orienta a que el paciente entienda su síntoma y aprenda a tolerar la falta, para así abrir camino a la articulación de un deseo propio mediante la quiebra de la cadena significante. | |
| dc.description | This paper analyses the case of Ignacio, a patient who attends psychological consultation due to periodic outbursts of anger in the workplace. The outcome of the sessions suggests that his sexual impotence is critical cause for the symptom. To Ignacio, the meaning of "being a man" is conveyed through a chain of signifiers permeated by a specific discourse of the big Other: the masculine imperative of power and enjoyment in the exercise of this power. His sexual impotence fractures his ability to fulfill this imperative: in his sexuality there is a non-power over which he has no control whatsoever, and with he identifies himself. Finally, this work details how the consultation is oriented towards the patient’s comprehension of his symptom and his learning on how tolerate the lack, in order to open the way to the articulation of a desire of his own by way of breaking of the signifying chain. | |
