| dc.description | Este trabalho versa sobre a construção de problemas sociais e o papel dos processos de enquadramento interpretativo neste fenômeno, analisando-se o movimento pelos direitos animais em Porto Alegre. Adota-se uma síntese teórica entre a teoria da construção dos problemas sociais e a teoria dos marcos interpretativos da ação coletiva, vistos como responsáveis pela re-interpretação de determinadas condições-categorias em moldes de problemas sociais. É analisada a função desempenhado neste processo pelos macro marcos interpretativos (MMI’s), vistos como bases interpretativas para este processo, e pelos marcos interpretativos epistêmicos (MIE’s), aos quais são atribuídas legitimidade e confiança pela sociedade. Dados sobre as três organizações do movimento pelos direitos animais estudadas serão gerados por meio de observações, entrevistas e análise documental, e serão estudados por meio de análise de conteúdo com auxílio do software NVivo. Os resultados revelaram a importância que os MMI’s do direito e do ambientalismo e que os MIE’s da filosofia da ética e da ecologia detêm neste fenômeno. | |
| dc.description | The subject of this work is the construction of social problems and the role of the framing processes in this phenomenon, analyzing the animal rights movement in Porto Alegre. It uses a theoretical synthesis between the social problems construction theory and the social action frames theory, seen as responsible for the re-interpretation of certain conditions-categories in the shape of social problems. It analyses the role of master frames, seen as interpretative basis to this process, as well as the role of epistemic frames, to which legitimacy and confidence are socially attributed. Data on these three social movement organizations will be generated by observations, interviews and documental analysis, and will be studied through content analysis with software NVivo support. The results revealed the importance that the rights and the environmental master frames have in this phenomena, as well as the importance that the ethics philosophy and the ecological epistemic frames have in this case. | |
