| dc.description | The objective of the research was to analyze the liver profile in elderly patients to determine it according to the age and breed, allowing diagnosing subclinical liver disease and to assist students in fifth module called Clinic and Surgery of Dogs and Cats, socializing results. The field work was conducted in the city of Loja, taking blood samples in 30 geriatric canine patients, analyzing eleven parameters (ALB, ALT, AST, AMYL, BT, COLEST, FA, GLU, LIP, NUS, PT) grouped by age and breed (size) to determine the liver profile and get a diagnosis. Based on the results checks for liver failure in these patients; according to the percentages obtained , patients of 7 to 8 years , 10% because extrahepatic disease ; elderly patients 10 years, 10 % are insufficient liver , and in group 9-10 years 16.6% of subclinical liver , considering that a 90% increase in total bilirubin remains 60% phosphatase alkaline and 90% of urea in the three groups analyzed , confirming a deterioration in the health of the organism . | |
| dc.description | El objetivo de la presente investigación fue analizar el perfil hepático en pacientes geriátricos tomando en consideración la edad y raza, facilitando de esta manera el diagnostico de hepatopatías subclínicas. El trabajo de campo se llevó a cabo en la ciudad de Loja, tomando muestras sanguíneas en 30 pacientes geriátricos, analizando once parámetros (ALB, ALT, AST, AMYL, BT, COLEST, FA, GLU, LIP, NUS, PT) agrupándolos por edad y raza (tamaño) para luego determinar el perfil hepático y llegar a un diagnóstico. En base a los resultados se comprueba la existencia de fallo hepático en estos pacientes; de acuerdo con los porcentajes obtenidos, los pacientes de 7 a 8 años, el 10% debido a enfermedades extrahepáticas; los pacientes mayores a 10 años, el 10% son Insuficientes hepáticos, y en el grupo de 9-10 años un 16.6% de hepatopatías subclínicas, teniendo en cuenta que se mantiene un incremento del 90% en bilirrubinas totales, el 60% de fosfatasa alcalina y 90% de urea, en los tres grupos analizados, lo cual confirma un deterioro en la salud del organismo. | |
