dc.descriptionEcuador maintains an important commercial relationship with Russia, one of the countries involved in the armed conflict. It is the main destination for exports of bananas, flowers and crustaceans. The Ecuadorian banana covers more than 50 % of the quantity demanded by Ukraine and together with Russia they capture approximately 23 % of all exported. For this reason, the objective of the investigation is to analyze the effects of the Russian-Ukraine conflict on Ecuadorian foreign trade. In the development of the investigation, the following theoretical methods were used: historical-logical and analytical-synthetic, in the bibliographic search, words related to the title of the article were used; for the analysis, data from the export and import levels with Russia and Ukraine were used in the period from the first five months between 2017 and 2022. Among the results, after the beginning of the war, the decrease in exports is shown, to its time, the increase in imports with Russia and Ukraine, respectively. It is concluded that the decrease in exports goes to the surplus supply, while the increase in FOB imports and the decrease in TM demonstrate the increase in the price of products offered by the countries involved.en-US
dc.descriptionEcuador mantiene una importante relación comercial con Rusia, uno de los países involucrados en el conflicto armado. Rusia es el principal destino de las exportaciones de banano, flores y crustáceos. El banano ecuatoriano cubre más del 50 % de la cantidad demandada por Ucrania y, en conjunto con Rusia, captan aproximadamente un 23 % de todo lo exportado.  Por esta razón, el objetivo de la investigación es analizar los efectos del conflicto Rusia-Ucrania en el comercio exterior ecuatoriano. En el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizaron los métodos teóricos: histórico-lógico y analítico-sintético. En la búsqueda bibliográfica se usaron palabras relacionadas al título del artículo. Para el análisis se emplearon datos de los niveles de exportación e importación con Rusia y Ucrania en el periodo del primer quinquemestre durante los años 2017 al 2022. Entre los resultados, posterior al inicio de la guerra, se muestra el decrecimiento de las exportaciones, a su vez, el incremento de las importaciones con Rusia y Ucrania, respectivamente. Se concluye que el decrecimiento de las exportaciones dejó sin destino a la oferta sobrante, mientras que el incremento de las importaciones en FOB y decrecimiento en TM demuestran el encarecimiento de los productos ofertados por los países implicados.es-ES
