dc.descriptionStatistics indicate that at least 50% of the world's population depends on the water that comes from mountain slopes, which is used mostly for agricultural irrigation. However, the sources, springs and hydrographic basins are being rapidly destroyed for various reasons, the most devastating being that related to the action of man. The contamination created by the human being can permanently poison the sources of vital liquid and generate an irreversible catastrophe. The possibility of a global water shortage is a real problem that requires urgent measures to avoid it.en-US
dc.descriptionLas estadísticas señalan que al menos el 50% de la población del mundo depende del agua que proviene de las vertientes montañosas, que se utiliza en su mayoría para el riego agrícola. Sin embargo, las fuentes, manantiales y cuencas hidrográficas se están destruyendo aceleradamente por diversas causas, siendo la más devastadora la relacionada con la acción del hombre. La contaminación creada por el ser humano puede envenenar permanentemente las fuentes de líquido vital y generar una catástrofe irreversible. La posibilidad de una escasez de agua a nivel mundial es un problema real que requiere de medidas urgentes para evitarla.es-ES
