dc.descriptionThe use of digital information and communication technologies has been one of the most relevant issues of recent decades. However, because they are decisive in social processes such as education, their use has highlighted certain difficulties in terms of their access, mastery and learning by different social groups. One of the denominations that this issue has received is the concept of «digital divide», which could be understood as the social distance resulting from the comparison between groups of people and the uses they give to technologies. In this paper we present a review of publications in Spanish on the digital divide between 2003 and 2021, retrieved from the EBSCO and SCOPUS databases. These are 67 texts selected under the criteria of thematic relevance, which provide an overview of the population groups that have been studied, their specific difficulties, and the role of governments in the matter in countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Spain. The results speak of an issue that transcends the technical itself, to settle in attitudinal, political and social issues.en-US
dc.descriptionEl uso de las tecnologías digitales de información y comunicación ha resultado uno de los asuntos más relevantes de las últimas décadas. Sin embargo, por ser determinantes en procesos sociales como la educación, su uso ha resaltado ciertas dificultades en términos de su acceso, dominio y aprendizaje por parte de diferentes grupos sociales. Una de las denominaciones que ha recibido tal asunto es el concepto de «brecha digital», que pudiera entenderse como la distancia social resultante de la comparativa entre los grupos de personas y los usos que estas le dan a las tecnologías. En este trabajo presentamos una revisión de publicaciones en español realizadas sobre la brecha digital entre 2003 y 2021, recuperadas en las bases de datos EBSCO y SCOPUS. Se trata de 67 textos seleccionados bajo el criterio de relevancia temática, que arrojan un panorama sobre los grupos poblacionales que se han estudiado, sus dificultades específicas, y el rol de los gobiernos frente al asunto en países como Colombia, México, Uruguay y España. Los resultados hablan de un tema que trasciende lo propiamente técnico, para instalarse en asuntos actitudinales, políticos y sociales.es-ES
