This article reviews some historical criteria on the mathematical, natural, temporal and spatial relationships of the sounds that make up music. These categories were reconsidered in contemporary music, resulting in the creation of works with unusual sounds, related to interdisciplinary art, generative art and with fractal models. Works from Latin America are also mentioned that eventually integrate the logics of ancestral cultural cosmovision with their own structures of time and space
