dc.description.abstract | The following technical project was developed at Irquis Farm, which belongs to the University
of Cuenca. The university provides academic, research, and community engagement services
through its agricultural and livestock activities. Upon analyzing the available cartographic
information for this area, it was observed that the best scale available was 1:5000, which does
not meet the necessary technical parameters for proper plot planning. For this reason, it was
decided to update and improve the resolution of the topographic information by conducting an
aerial photogrammetric survey using a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS). The project
included flight planning, which involved calculating technical parameters such as altitude,
number of photos, and pixel size, as well as placing ground control points, conducting the
actual flight, and processing the field data to obtain products such as the Digital Surface Model
(DSM), Digital Terrain Model (DTM), orthophotography, altimetry, and planimetry. These
products will be used by the academic management of the farm. | |
