| dc.description.abstract | The use of medicinal plants to treat various diseases - ailments comes from remote times, the therapeutic purposes of each plant have achieved the belief of man to treat and cure their ailments, including injuries, man began using natural remedies instinctively guided by the behavior of certain animals, he learned from the errors to treat the ailments that people presented, he passed to a rational mode when he was already learning the therapeutic properties of each plant and knowing what disease to treat with each one of them; There are even books where from ancient times they reveal the way of cultivation and preparation, for this reason in the present project we have as objective, to determine the frequency, therapeutic use and type of medicinal plants used by the healers of the markets of Cuenca, In the year 2022, with a methodology of a descriptive cross-sectional study, carried out on 81 healers, a survey was applied, the information was analyzed using the statistical program SPSS v.23 for Windows, the results are presented in frequency tables and percentages, we conclude that it is important to know the medicinal plants that exist, the diseases they treat, the frequency of use and the characteristics of those who exercise it; Depending on the fact that this way of treating the disease is quite frequent in our environment, therefore, from nursing it is necessary to generate this knowledge to integrate it, in the management of individualized, family and community intercultural care. | |
