dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of the illustration on the advancement of environmental awareness, taking into account students of Higher Basic Education through an empirical study and an artistic experimentation. Based on the curriculum school, different illustrations were created, which improved the student’s comprehension and concern for the environment. In addition, those illustrations helped the students to emotionally connect with nature and develop a more sensitive perspective toward their environment. Furthermore, the results show that an illustration is an effective tool to foster the student’s development of environmental values and, at the same time, to motivate them to take concrete actions to protect the environment. In conclusion, art education is a valuable component of environmental education that should be considered an integral part of any environmental awareness development program.
