| dc.description.abstract | The present text is born in empathy to the students at the moment of the architectural design of complex equipment. By accompanying the designer, it is possible to guide him or her to efficiently assist the users, which triggers a series of potentials for a successful design of a space that will allow the staff to maintain a state of well-being and work efficiently, to better the ability to assist patients. This document arms the reader with guidelines that provide support in the development of a healthcare facility, but at the same time to think about the progressiveness of the architecture. In addition, it aspires to the reader’s reflection on the relevance of the implantation site and supports the concept of humanized space as a space created not only to heal diseases and illnesses but the complete state of physical, mental, and social well-being. This work is offered as a guide to be developed in a 5-step methodology: typological model, organizational packages, site analysis, criteria, and images of the result. Then, we proceed to develop a preliminary draft project in the province of Azuay, specifically, the type B health center that has the facility to develop a type C, for the canton of San Fernando to demonstrate the feasibility of the guide. The results obtained are favorable when developing a new health facility, since the guide can guide the design of the project with progressive, flexible, and human welfare character, and considers each criterion according to the reader’s expertise. | |
