dc.description.abstractThis methodological proposal for the formation of choirs for older adults is based on the experiences of several choral directors; its purpose is to contribute to avoid the loneliness and depression that characterizes this population segment, incorporating them to projectsrelated to activities articulated with music, among them, choral music. The therapeutic properties of music, especially choral music, are expressed through its components: harmony, melody and rhythm, hence its contribution to the improvement of the quality of life in older adults, because it encourages, relaxes, cheers them up and socializes their energies and experiences. The fundamental motivation of this study is to promote the participation of older adults in cultural and musical projects, whose main objective is focused on making 2a methodological proposal for the formation of a choir of older adults based on accounts of experiences applied to this practice.
