| dc.description | En el presente documento se aborda el caso de la rehabilitación oral de un paciente parcialmente edéntulo con problemas en el plano oclusal. En este trabajo se presentan los conceptos de oclusión y rehabilitación oral. La pérdida del plano oclusal conlleva a factores dañinos para el sistema estomatognático. El uso de prótesis fija fue el tratamiento de elección para devolver al paciente su función masticatoria como también la devolución de puntos de contacto mediante el uso de resinas. La devolución de plano oclusal y la guía anterior del paciente ayudaron a que tenga una mejor armonía oclusal y una mejoría es su sistema masticatorio. El éxito del tratamiento se asocia con un correcto planeamiento, un buen criterio y una correcta elaboración de la historia clínica. | |
| dc.description | In the present document the case of oral rehabilitation of a partially edentulous patient with the occlusal plane problems addressed. In this paper the concepts of occlusion and oral rehabilitation are presented. The loss of the occlusal plane leads to harmful factors for the stomatognathic system. Fixed prosthesis was the treatment of choice to return the patient's masticatory function as the return of contact points by using resins. The return of occlusal plane and anterior guide helped the patient have a better occlusal harmony and an improvement in his masticatory system.The success of treatment is associated with proper planning, good judgment and proper development of the clinical history. | |
