| dc.description | El objetivo de siguiente trabajo es tratar a un paciente pediátrico con Habito de Respiración bucal y deglución atípica. La respiración bucal es la inhalación aire frio, seco y cargado de polvo a la boca y faringe, cuando al ser inhalado por la nariz se produce el calentamiento, humidificación y filtración del aire. Los senos maxilares muestran escaso crecimiento y una hipoventilación, a largo plazo se altera el macizo naso maxilar; los labios se separan, la mandíbula desciende y la lengua también desciende acompañando a la mandíbula. Es necesario detectar estos problemas a tiempo y tratarlos con interconsultas para lograr un tratamiento satisfactorio. La edad dentaria del paciente nos permite diseñar una placa que no afecte con la exfoliación del diente donde se sostengan los retenedores a su vez de dar el espacio necesario para la erupción de los dientes definitivos... | |

Mouth breathing is the inhalation of cold, dry, dust-laden air to the mouth and pharynx, when being inhaled through the nose produces heating, humidification, and air filtration. The maxillary sinuses show little growth and hypoventilation, in the long term the maxillary nasal mass is altered; the lips are separated, the jaw descends and the tongue also descends accompanying the jaw.
