| dc.description | In Guano, especially in its communities in the Chingazo Alto, Ela, and Valparaíso sector, we can find traditional structures that have survived in time. Those constructions are studied to rediscover the materials and construction methods adopted at the time they were made. This research is exploratory, and its main objective is to determine the different typologies presented in the place. The methodological approach is based on the following variables: materials, construction system, year of construction or intervention, and the current use of these traditional constructions. Under these facts, 28 properties within the study area were analyzed using information analyzed by EcoSur and complemented by visits and verification of the variables in situ. The investigation answers consist of establishing the following typologies: constructions with a system provided in wood and concrete, bearing walls based on stone and brick, and self-supporting structures standing due to their weight and given configuration. | |
| dc.description | En el cantón Guano, en especial, en sus comunidades ubicadas en el sector Chingazo Alto, Ela y Valparaíso, se pueden encontrar estructuras tradicionales que han sobrevivido al paso del tiempo. Dichas construcciones son estudiadas con la finalidad de redescubrir los materiales y métodos constructivos adoptados en la época en que fueron elaboradas. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal determinar las diferentes tipologías presentes en el sector. El enfoque metodológico se basa en el establecimiento de las siguientes variables: materiales, sistema constructivo, año de construcción o intervención y el uso que actualmente se les da a estas construcciones tradicionales. Bajo estos parámetros se analizaron 28 inmuebles dentro de la zona de estudio usando información proporcionada por la fundación EcoSur y complementada con visitas y verificación de las variables in situ. El resultado de la investigación consiste en el establecimiento de las siguientes tipologías: construcciones con un sistema aporticado en madera y hormigón, muros portantes a base de piedra y ladrillo y estructuras auto-soportantes que se mantienen en pie por su propio peso y configuración dada | |
