dc.descriptionI have chosen this topic due to the importance of learning english for specific purposes (esp) for medical students in ecuadorian universities. Medical school is still one of the most demanded areas of study every year. People continue choosing this profession because of family tradition or personal ambition. Medicine is a difficult and demanding field of study, which requires financial sacrifices that only some students can or want to make, long-term studies to get their degree and long hours of non-sleeping attending patients who are ill and dealing with patients’ familiar who are suffering for a terminal disease.
