| dc.description | O futebol constitui-se num veículo para uma série de representações da sociedade brasileira, permitindo a expressão e vivência de problemas nacionais (DAMATTA, 1982). Ele transcende sua qualidade esportiva, criando relações sociais e identidades, bem como representa um forte universo simbólico. O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar os caminhos pelos quais o futebol constrói essas identidades, destacando alguns aspectos que contribuíram para que esse esporte se tornasse elemento cultural do Brasil, tais como: o contexto de desenvolvimento industrial das metrópoles na popularização do futebol; de que maneira o futebol se popularizou e como ele foi usado pelo Estado na construção da identidade brasileira; e a construção de identidades em nível nacional – tendo como tema as Copas do Mundo – e em nível regional, através da relação entre o torcedor e o seu clube do coração. | |
| dc.description | The football is a vehicle for a series of representations of brazilian society, allowing the expression and experience of national problems. He transcends his sport quality, creating social relations and identities, and represents a strong symbolic universe. The objective of this work is to identify how football builds these identities, highlighting some aspects which contributed to the sport became a cultural element of Brazil, such as: the context of industrial development of metropolis in the popularization of football; how the football has become popular and how was used by the State in a construction of brazilian identity; and the construction of identities in national level – taking as theme the Word Cups – and in regional level, through the relationship between the supporter and your heart club. | |
