dc.descriptionThe digital image processing has been playing an important role in the engineering career and even medicine area. Thanks to this processing, nowadays is possible to manipulate images to get objective information that help us make decisions to solve problems. This project is a study of the wavelet transformation as an alternative to the implementation of algorithms for compression / decompression of gray scale images. Through of this project, we are going to do a quantitative and qualitative analysis to establish advantages and disadvantages regarding the use of Fourier transformation.
