The objective of this article is to describe the design and implementation of an Artificial Vision System capable of detecting bottles of different color by the use of virtual tools provided by Labview and its NI Vision library. The application is integrated with a conveyor belt system and a robotic arm in order to simulate a production line of constant speed flow that includes a station for analysis. Based on pattern color matching techniques, the system determines the right bottles and with the help of a Robotic Arm the wrong color ones are rejected. In order to elaborate the conclusions and recommendations, 90 bottles were tested. Results are shown at the end of this document.
