| dc.description | This research study was carried out in Chugchilán parish, in Sigchos canton, on the subject of research: "ANCESTRAL HARVESTING AND POST-HARVESTING PRACTICES IN THE CHUGCHILAN PARISH," to determine the traditional practices and knowledge used in the cultivation of crops such as maize, beans, barley, peas, beans, potatoes, mashua, and chochos. The objectives of this research study were: to identify through surveys the different ancestral practices applied in harvesting and post-harvesting in the parish of Chugchilán, to document the ancestral practices used for harvesting, to find out the leading ancestral practices used in harvesting and post-harvesting in the parish of Chugchilán, and to identify the primary ancestral practices used in harvesting and post-harvesting in the parish of Chugchilán. The methodology used identified the problem, surveys and interviews were carried out in the different communities. The means to collect the information was the kobo toolbox application that allows to conduct surveys and obtain the geographical coordinates of the respondents. The results of the survey revealed that in the communities of the parish of Chugchilán, 78% of the population continues to conserve ancestral knowledge and practices in harvesting and post-harvesting, 74% of the population makes use of ancestral knowledge such as guayunga, zarzos, troja, barley, and broad bean patches. The interview script revealed other ancestral practices such as zarzos, the troja used by the tifo to repel insects, Etc., which were revealed through the interview script. The leading ancestral practices and knowledge used in the parish of Chugchilán are threshing (85%), troja (80%), guayunga (61%), and parvas (53%). | |
| dc.description | La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en la parroquia Chugchilán perteneciente al cantón Sigchos, con el tema de investigación: “PRÁCTICAS ANCESTRALES DE COSECHA Y POSCOSECHA EN LA PARROQUIA CHUGCHILÁN”, con el fin de determinar las prácticas y saberes ancestrales utilizados en los cultivos como el maíz, haba, cebada, arveja, fréjol, papas, mashua y chochos. Los objetivos de la investigación fueron: Identificar mediante encuestas las diferentes prácticas ancestrales aplicadas en cosecha y poscosecha en la parroquia Chugchilán, documentar las prácticas ancestrales utilizadas para la cosecha, conocer las principales prácticas ancestrales manejadas en cosecha y poscosecha de la Parroquia Chugchilán. La metodología utilizada se basó en la identificación del problema, elaboración de encuestas y entrevistas realizadas en las diferentes comunidades. El medio para recolectar la información fue el aplicativo de kobotoolbox que permite realizar encuestas y obtener coordenadas geográficas de los encuestados. Los resultados del estudio mediante la aplicación de la encuesta revelaron que en las comunidades la parroquia Chugchilán sigue conservando los saberes y prácticas ancestrales, con un 78% en la cosecha y la poscosecha el 74% de la población hace uso de saberes ancestrales como: la guayunga, zarzos, troja, parvas de cebada y haba. Mediante en guion de entrevista se pudo evidenciar otras prácticas ancestrales tales como: zarzos, troja utilizando el tifo para repeler a los insectos. Las principales prácticas y saberes ancestrales utilizados en la parroquia Chugchilán son la trilla con 85%, la troja con un 80%, la guayunga con un 61% y las parvas siendo la más baja con un 53%. | |
