dc.descriptionThe objective of this study was to identify, assess and determine manifestations and consequences of depressive symptoms and automatic thoughts and influence of relationship, behavioral, social and abuse or neglect problems of adults, during the Montecristi Canton pandemic, in the year 2020. It was carried out under a study with a mixed, qualitative and quantitative approach; To do this, a survey of information of psychosocial characteristics and the BDI-II (Beck's Depression Inventory) were applied to a simple probabilistic sample of 279 adults from the Montecristi canton, which allowed to measure depressive symptoms, from which results were obtained regarding the 46% of people had mobility difficulties to access their work, 34% did not adapt to the pandemic time, 57% have felt sad and still cannot feel well due to the loss of family or friends due to COVID- 19. In conclusion, the population of Montecristi is an active entity and during the pandemic it presented mild and moderate depression, evidenced in the Beck Depression Inventory, however there were cases of severe depression, it could also be concluded that the impact during 2020 at the level The social situation caused the adults of Montecristi to formulate automatic thoughts in response to the difficulties they had due to the low economy associated with other estrangement from friends or other relatives. dc.descriptionEl objetivo de este estudio fue, identificar, valorar y determinar manifestaciones y consecuencias de sintomatología depresiva y pensamientos automáticos e influencia de los problemas de relación, comportamentales, sociales y de abuso o negligencia de los adultos, durante la pandemia del cantón Montecristi, en el año 2020. Se realizó bajo un estudio de enfoque mixto, cualitativo y cuantitativo; para ello, se aplicó una encuesta de información de característica psicosocial y el BDI-II (Inventario de Depresión de Beck) a una muestra probabilística simple de 279 personas adultas del cantón Montecristi, que permitieron medir sintomatología depresiva, del que se obtuvo resultados referentes al 46% de personas tuvo dificultades de movilidad para acceder a su trabajo, el 34% no se adaptaba a la época pandémica, el 57% se ha sentido con tristeza y aun no puede sentirse bien por la pérdida de familiares o amigos por la COVID-19. En conclusión, la población de Montecristi es un ente activo y durante la pandemia presentó depresión leve y moderada, evidenciado en el Inventario de Depresión de Beck, no obstante, hubo casos de depresión severa, además se pudo concluir que el impacto durante el 2020 a nivel social produjo que los adultos de Montecristi formulen pensamientos automáticos en respuesta a las dificultades que tenían por la baja economía asociado además del alejamiento de amigos u otros familiares.
