dc.description | El COVID-19 ha empeorado las situaciones sociales, económicas y políticas en el país. La realidad es evidente; aunque no se ha realizado un análisis profundo del estado psicosocial y el consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas de los individuos. Se considera como objetivo determinar el impacto del COVID-19 en el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas de los estudiantes de la Carrera de Trabajo Social en los sectores rural, urbano y urbano marginal. Esta problemática social profunda puede tener repercusiones sobre el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas, por lo tanto, es necesario hablar de lo psicosocial, pues el hombre no puede ser estudiado sólo desde un ámbito biológico, físico o puramente psicológico, se requiere de integralidad. La diferencia de contextos sociales y de culturas, influyen en la manera de pensar y actuar de los sujetos, surge la necesidad de analizar ¿cuál es la realidad de consumo entre estos sectores? Mediante un enfoque cuantitativo y una revisión descriptiva se analizan los datos de la encuesta levantada en junio del 2020 a 110 estudiantes de la Carrera de Trabajo Social, matriz Cuenca, la cual permite obtener conclusiones precisas respecto al impacto de la pandemia en el consumo de drogas y establecer las diferencias respecto al consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas y psicoactivas entre el sector rural, urbano y urbano marginal. The reality is evident; although a deep analysis of the psychosocial state and the consumption of psychotropic substances of the individuals has not been carried out. The objective is to determine the impact of COVID-19 on the consumption of psychoactive substances by students of the Social Work Program in rural, urban, and marginal urban sectors. This deep social problem can have repercussions on the consumption of psychoactive substances, therefore, it is necessary to talk about the psychosocial, since man cannot be studied only from a biological, physical, or purely psychological perspective, integrality is required. The difference in social contexts and cultures, influences the way of thinking and acting of the people, the need arises to analyze what is the reality of consumption among these sectors? Through a quantitative approach and a descriptive review, we analyze the data from the survey conducted in June 2020 to 110 students of the Social Work Program, headquarters of a university, which allows us to obtain precise conclusions regarding the impact of the pandemic on drug use, and establish the differences regarding the consumption of psychotropic and psychoactive substances between the rural, urban and marginal urban sectors.
