| dc.description | Pode-se dividir este projeto em quatro partes principais. Em primeiro lugar, é feito um estudo descritivo da norma 802.11a do IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), que se refere à transmissão e recepção de pacotes em um sistema de comunicação digital sem fio. Em segundo lugar, é analisado o funcionamento de um simulador 802.11a implementado no software Matlab e se documentarão todas as funções que o compõem. Em terceiro lugar, são realizadas modificações no código do simulador, de maneira que este possa extrair e transmitir o conteúdo binário de uma imagem, bem como possa gerar gráficos que mostrem as probabilidades de erro de bit e de pacote em função da razão sinal/ruído. Por final, são analisadas na literatura alternativas de algoritmos de estimação de canal, de maneira que possam ser implementados no simulador e comparados entre si, relativamente à performance de erros de bit e de pacote. | |
| dc.description | This project can be divided in four main parts. In first place, it is carried out a descriptive study of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 802.11a standard, which refers to the transmission and reception of packets in a wireless digital communication system. In second place, it is analyzed the functioning of an IEEE 802.11a simulator implemented in the software Matlab and its component functions will be documented. In third place, it is done modifications in the simulator’s code, in a way that it could generate graphics showing the bit and packet error probabilities as a function of signal to noise ratio. Finally, it is analyzed in the literature alternatives of channel estimation algorithms, such as they can be implemented in the simulator and compared among them, relatively to the bit and packet error performance. | |
