dc.descriptionEl Ecuador ha sido declarado libre de cultivos y semillas transgénicas. A pesar de ello, existe la duda de si los cultivos ecuatorianos están o no contaminados con transgenes, ya sea por flujo de genes o por siembra de semillas transgénicas de manera ilegal. La presente investigación muestra los resultados de un proceso de monitoreo participativo del maíz ecuatoriano, llevado a cabo en los años 2012 y 2013 en 15 provincias del Ecuador. En conclusión, no se detectó la presencia de las proteínas transgénicas Cr1Ab/Ac, pat y CP4EPSPS.es-ES
