The Internet of Things presents itself as a promising technology in healthcare. The general objective is to develop a literature review on the use of IoT focused on hospital care through the use of indexed databases of relevant articles from 2018 to 2022. The specific objectives are: Identify IoT proposals focused on hospital care through literature review; Rank relevant jobs to determine the scope and usefulness of IoT in hospital care; and Evaluate the results of the literature review to contrast the results by generating a comparative table with the IEEE P2413, IEEE 1451-99 and IEEE P1912 standards. The methodology used is the Systematic Review of the Literature based on the PRISMA standard that performs a search in different databases, to certify the review of a wide range of articles. There were 41 selected articles, it was found that the main component in the models are the sensors in 98%, the most used protocol is IEEE in 68%, the most used methodology is the presentation of characteristics in 93%, the common characteristic in the articles is the relationship between theory-design-results-evaluation in 85%.
