Currently, internal combustion engine vehicles are equipped with complex electronic controls that require sensors to measure and monitor various vehicle systems. Commercial automotive scanners can acquire fault codes from the electronic control unit in case of a malfunction, but they cannot directly verify the proper functioning of sensors. Therefore, visual inspection of the sensor and analysis of the signals it delivers are required. To address this issue, the following technical project details the design and construction of a test and diagnostic equipment for sensors in the electronic fuel injection system of automobiles. These sensors include the inductive crankshaft position sensor (CKP), hall-effect camshaft position sensor (CMP), negative temperature coefficient coolant temperature sensor (ECT), manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP), and throttle position sensor (TPS).
