dc.descriptionIntroduction: Doing research in Venezuelan Universities became a personal decision rather than an institutional one, given that this transcendental role ceased to be supported by the prevailing governments for more than two decades. This became a stumbling block that drastically reduced the nation's scientific and humanistic development. However, there are cases of teachers who still research and publish. Objective: Postulate a theoretical approach on research resilience in university teachers. Materials and Methods: Interviews were applied to researchers from various universities and interpreted in the light of hermeneutics, all supported by a study oriented by the phenomenological-interpretative paradigm. Results and Conclusions: Among the findings, it stands out that research is, fundamentally, a life commitment that is assumed with determination and enthusiasm, despite the fact that institutional conditions could be adverse.en-US
dc.descriptionIntroducción: Hacer investigación en las Universidades venezolanas se convirtió en una decisión personal más que institucional, en vista de que este rol transcendental dejó de ser apoyado por los gobiernos imperantes desde hace más de dos décadas. Eso se convirtió en un escollo que mermó drásticamente el desarrollo científico y humanístico de la nación. Sin embargo, existen casos de docentes que aún investigan y publican. Objetivo: Postular una aproximación teórica sobre la resiliencia investigativa en docentes universitarios. Materiales y Métodos:  Se aplicaron entrevistas a investigadores de varias Universidades y se interpretaron a la luz de la hermenéutica, todo sustentado en un estudio orientado por el paradigma fenomenológico-interpretativo. Resultados y Conclusiones: Entre los hallazgos se destaca que investigar es, fundamentalmente, un compromiso de vida que se asume con determinación y entusiasmo, a pesar de que las condiciones institucionales pudieran ser adversas.es-ES
