dc.descriptionThe ancestral knowledge is focused on medicine, forestry gastronomy, handicraft construction, ancestral languages, conservation techniques, microclimates, production and food, agriculture, irrigation, among others. They are important since they allow a way of living and remembering the uses, customs and traditions that the ancestors have left over time. In order to analyze the knowledge and how to promote its rescue and revaluation, information based on scientific studies was collected and analyzed in different databases such as Web of Science, Open Journal System; as well as relevant articles from Google Scholar. Articles directed to the area of ​​gastronomy, medicinal plants, ancestral languages, handicrafts, ancestral agriculture and the environment were grouped together, so in this context it can be concluded that ancestral knowledge encompasses a great variety of knowledge and techniques that must be protected and promoted; recognized and consolidated for the benefit of all humanity and present and future generations.en-US
dc.descriptionLos saberes ancestrales están enfocados en la medicina, gastronomía silvicultura, construcción artesanías, lenguas ancestrales, técnicas de conservación, microclimas, producción y alimentación, agricultura, riego entre otros. Son importantes ya que permiten una manera de vivir y recordar los usos, costumbres y tradiciones que han dejado los ancestros a través del tiempo. A fin de analizar sobre los saberes y como fomentar su rescate y revalorización se recopiló y analizó información basada en estudios científicos en diferentes bases de datos como Web of Science, Open Journal System; así como artículos relevantes de Google Académico. Se agruparon artículos direccionados al área de la gastronomía, plantas medicinales, lenguas ancestrales, artesanías, agricultura ancestral y medio ambiente, por lo que en este contexto se puede concluir que los saberes ancestrales abarcan una gran variedad de conocimientos y técnicas que deben ser protegidos y promovidos; reconocidos y consolidados en beneficio de toda la humanidad y de las generaciones presentes y futuras.es-ES
