dc.descriptionThe situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the year 2020 caused quite a few problems, among them was the fall in the price of oil in the month of April of that year. This document aims to analyze the ravages that caused the price of oil to reach negative values using different sources of information with statistical data to review why it occurred, how much the amount of loss was and how the situation affected economically on the Ecuadorian country. Among the results obtained will be various graphs and tables that explain the situation that was presented, as well as a retrospective of Ecuador as an oil exporting country, and how it shows different results than expected in previous years in GDP and oil barrels sold respectively.en-US
dc.descriptionLa situación de la pandemia de Covid-19 en el año 2020 provocó bastantes problemas, entre ellos fue la caída del precio del petróleo en el mes de abril de ese año, este documento tiene como objetivo analizar los estragos que hicieron que el precio del crudo llegara a valores negativos utilizando varias fuentes de información con datos estadísticos para revisar por qué se produjo, de cuanto fue la pérdida y cómo afectó la situación económica del país ecuatoriano. Entre los resultados obtenidos se hallarán diversos gráficos y tablas que explican la situación que se presentó, así como una retrospectiva de Ecuador como un país exportador de petróleo, y cómo este país muestra resultados diferentes a los previstos en años anteriores respecto al PIB y barriles de petróleo vendidos al día.es-ES
