dc.descriptionThe objective of this work is to know and identify the importance of the territorial order for the productive development of the Portoviejo canton of the Province of Manabí, generating a harmonious and equitable development with the participation of the local, regional and national community. It is intended to establish each cantonal potential that can be exploited through the correct application of measures and / or public policies. Through bibliographical research, the pertinent analysis of the scientific information obtained in the different media such as books, magazines and web information will be carried out, while quantitative and qualitative research will analyze the socioeconomic aspects of the canton. In the results are reflected the various axes within the Plan for Development and Territorial Ordering (PDOT), each with its problems, causes and potentialities. Finally, it is concluded determining the territorial ordering as a factor of development through the potentialization of each of its axes.en-US
dc.descriptionEl objetivo del presente trabajo es conocer e identificar la importancia que tiene el ordenamiento territorial para el fomento productivo del cantón Portoviejo de la Provincia de Manabí, generando un desarrollo armónico y equitativo con la participación de la comunidad local, regional y nacional. Se pretende establecer cada potencialidad del cantón que puede ser aprovechada mediante la aplicación correcta de medidas y/o políticas públicas. A través de la investigación bibliográfica se realizara el análisis pertinente de la información científica obtenida en los diferentes medios como libros, revistas e información de la web, mientras que a través de la investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa se analizaran los aspectos socioeconómicos del cantón. En los resultados se ven reflejados los diversos ejes dentro del Plan de Desarrollo y Ordenamiento Territorial (PDOT), cada uno con sus problemas, causas y potencialidades. Finalmente se concluye determinando al ordenamiento territorial como factor de desarrollo a través de la potencialización de cada uno de sus ejes.es-ES
