dc.descriptionSince centuries ago the use of the English Language has been a necessity that attracts the attention of some governments’ countries, which do not have the English Language as a native tongue because it as a universal language, useful for the scientific, economic and social development; despite all this hard work done for all the Governments, the English level in Latin America remains low, for this reason the present research has as a main goal to determine principles and techniques used by teachers of the Language Institute of the Universidad T´ecnica de Manab´ı. The author applied a survey to the teachers getting as a result that the most commonly principles and techniques used in the teaching-learning process are those belong to the grammar-translation methods.en-US
dc.descriptionDesde siglos atrás el manejo del idioma Inglés se ha constituido en una necesidad que atrae la atención de los Gobiernos de los países que no tienen este idioma como lengua nativa  por considerárselo un idioma universal, útil tanto para el desarrollo científico, económico y social. Pese a la ardua labor que realizan los Estados, el nivel de Inglés de los países de América Latina continúa siendo bajo, por lo cual este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar los principios y técnicas que utilizan los docentes del Instituto de Lenguas de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí.  Se aplicó una encuesta a docentes, que reveló que las técnicas y principios desarrollados en el proceso corresponden en esencia al método de traducción gramatical.  es-ES
