dc.descriptionIn this case study, the topic Depression Disorder was discussed in the personal life of a 51-year-old hypertensive patient from the Canton Ventanas, it was possible to collect important information, through clinical interviews and psychometric instruments such as: Beck's Depression Inventory Test, Test Characterological, Hamilton Anxiety Scale, in addition to the application of Aaron Beck cognitive techniques such as: examining evidence, cost-benefit analysis of a thought, explaining how thoughts create feelings and mastery and liking techniques; the patient presented symptoms such as anxiety, sadness, feelings of hopelessness, among others. The diagnosis obtained was Persistent Depressive Disorder (dysthymia). Interventions were carried out through Cognitive-Behavioral therapy sessions, to help you manage the negative feelings and thoughts that cause you discomfort, also helping you to face the situation in a healthy way and to feel better about yourself and your life, this way also to improve the patient's own well-being.

dc.descriptionEn el presente estudio de caso se trató el tema Trastorno De Depresión en la vida personal de una paciente hipertensa de 51 años del Cantón Ventanas, se pudo recolectar información importante, mediante entrevistas clínicas e instrumentos psicométricos como: Test inventario de Depresión de Beck, Test Caracterológico, Escala de Ansiedad de Hamilton, además de la aplicación de técnicas cognitivas de Aaron Beck como son: examinando evidencias, análisis del costo-beneficio de un pensamiento, explicar cómo los pensamientos crean sentimientos y técnicas de dominio y agrado; la paciente presentaba síntomas como ansiedad, tristeza, sentimientos de desesperanza, entre otras. El diagnóstico obtenido fue Trastorno Depresivo Persistente (distimia). Se realizaron intervenciones a través de sesiones de terapia Cognitivo-Conductual, para ayudarle a manejar los sentimientos y pensamientos negativos que le producen malestar, ayudándole además a enfrentar la situación de una manera saludable y que logre sentirse mejor consigo misma y con su vida, de este modo también lograr mejorar el bienestar propio de la paciente.
