dc.descriptionThe objective of this research is to analyze the impact of tourism promotion for the generation of economic growth within the hotel, gastronomy, and transportation businesses in the Santa Rosa canton located in the province of El Oro, through methodological tools both from the survey and the bibliographic compilation, the existing problems around tourism within the canton were identified, and the strategies that have been implemented by the local government. Santa Rosa has a great variety of tourist attractions, but because of the problems generated around this economic sector due to the pandemic, there was a decrease in demand in this market, so through tourism promotion we seek to encourage and promote the growth of entrepreneurs dedicated to tourism in the locality. Local businesses in the hospitality sector, gastronomic and transportation sites must adapt to the new tourism promotion strategies of the digital era, where it was identified that the generation of content through social networks helped to stimulate the demand for tourist attractions that exist within the canton of Santa Rosa.

dc.descriptionLa presente investigación tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis de la incidencia que tuvo la promoción del turismo para la generación de crecimiento económico dentro de los negocios orientados a la hotelería, gastronomía, y transportación del cantón Santa Rosa ubicado en la provincia del Oro, mediante las herramientas metodológicas tanto desde la encuesta y la recopilación bibliográfica, se identificó la problemática existente alrededor del turismo dentro del cantón, y las estrategias que han implementado el gobierno local. Santa Rosa posee con una gran variedad de atractivos turísticos, pero por los problemas generados alrededor de este sector económico debido a la pandemia, se logró evidenciar disminución en la demanda dentro de este mercado, por lo que mediante la promoción turística se busca incentivar y promover el crecimiento de los emprendedores dedicados a la actividad turística de la localidad. Los negocios locales tanto del sector de la hostelería, los sitios gastronómicos y de transporte deben adaptarse a las nuevas estrategias de promoción turísticas que presenta la era digital, en donde se identificó que la generación de contenido mediante las redes sociales ayudó a incentivar la demanda de los atractivos turísticos que existen dentro del cantón Santa Rosa.
