dc.descriptionEl presente caso de estudio, previo a la obtención del título de ingeniería en sistemas de información, se dirige con la finalidad de resaltar la importancia de los modelados 3D dentro del área de construcción en la ciudad de Babahoyo como apoyo para los profesionales de la construcción y la edificación. Con la ayuda del modelado 3D, un arquitecto, ingeniero civil o diseñador crea desde cero la imagen que quiere mostrar al mundo. En general, esta técnica se usa principalmente para presentar formas que no son claras para el ojo humano sin una imagen de apoyo. Este documento analiza las características, ventajas y desventajas de los softwares que realizan el sistema de modelado 3D y expone las funciones y beneficios de utilizar este tipo de softwares. Como se refiere al uso de sistemas de modelados 3D para la construcción para este Estudio de Caso, se encuentra bajo la línea y sublinea de investigación de la carrera de ingeniería en sistemas de Información que hace referente a “Sistemas de información y comunicación, emprendimiento e innovación con su sublinea en redes y tecnologías inteligentes de software y hardware”. El presente documento pretende evaluar cuál es el sistema de modelado 3D: SketchUp o AutoCAD es más conveniente al momento de realizar proyectos de modelado 3D.
