| dc.description | The limited comfort delivered by the 1975 Ford 350 vehicle caused leaks and a gradual decrease in poor ride quality. In addition, the air suspension required regular and proper maintenance to function optimally. For this reason, said system included air compressors and control valves that needed periodic inspections and lubrication to avoid problems that diminished their performance and incurred costly repairs. For this reason, the objective of the study is to adapt a pneumatic suspension system in the Ford 350 vehicle of the year 1975. For this, the technical characteristics of the control systems and pneumatic suspension were exposed to explain the quality obtained from the pneumatic suspension system. implemented. The results of the height tests when traveling 5 km with the suspension at its minimum height (30 cm) showed that the damping level had no problems. The second test over the same distance with a maximum suspension height of 45 cm, showed no problem at low and high speeds. | dc.description | El limitado confort que entregó el vehículo Ford 350 del año 1975 ocasionaba fugas y una disminución gradual de la deficiente calidad de conducción. Además, la suspensión neumática requería un mantenimiento regular y adecuado para funcionar de manera óptima. Es por ello que, dicho sistema incluía compresores de aire y válvulas de control que necesitaban inspecciones periódicas y lubricación para evitar problemas que disminuían su rendimiento e incurría en costosas reparaciones. Por tal razón, el objetivo del estudio es adaptar un sistema de suspensión neumática en el vehículo Ford 350 del año 1975. Para ello, se expusieron las características técnicas de los sistemas de control y suspensión neumática para explicar la calidad obtenida del sistema de suspensión neumática implementado. Los resultados de las pruebas de altura al recorrer 5 km con la suspensión en su altura mínima (30 cm) evidenciaron que el nivel de amortiguación no tuvo problemas. La segunda prueba bajo la misma distancia con una suspensión máxima de 45 cm de altura, no mostró problema alguno en velocidades bajas y altas. Se concluye que, la adaptación al sistema de suspensión neumática ofrece mejoras significativas en la comodidad de conducción, la estabilidad y la capacidad de carga. | es-ES |
