dc.descriptionThe Covid-19 pandemic, which was brought on by a mutant strain of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, has created a never-before-seen global economic, social, and health crisis. Therefore, the main aim objective of this study is to examine the comorbidities and demographic traits of individuals with dyslipidemia and COVID-19. Thus, this study has a systematic documentary design that is descriptive in character. Similarly, a review of the literature utilizing the Boolean operators ‘and’ and ‘or’ was conducted, taking into account both original scientific articles and bibliographic articles on the topic from academic sources including PubMed, Springer, Biomed Central, Scielo, and Science Direct. The findings showed that COVID-19 was associated to significant rates of morbidity and mortality, particularly in elderly individuals and those with chronic illnesses. With a total of 271,008,770 infected, Europe reported the largest number of cases. A total of 79,198,680 cases and 1,718,058 fatalities have been recorded in Latin America and the Caribbean. Therefore, the authors draw the conclusion that the majority of the dyslipidemic changes brought on by COVID-19 were discovered in patients between the ages of 40 and 60, with males being the most afflicted gender. Additionally, there are a number of comorbid conditions like diabetes, being overweight, and leading a sedentary lifestyle that could raise the risk of dyslipidemia.en-US
dc.descriptionLa pandemia causada por el Covid-19, producida por una cepa mutante de coronavirus el SARS-CoV-2, ha generado en todo el mundo, una severa crisis económica, social y de salud, nunca vista, el objetivo general de la presente investigación es analizar las características demográficas, comorbilidades en pacientes con dislipidemias y la COVID-19, se presenta una investigación de diseño documental de tipo sistemática con carácter descriptivo,  a través de una revisión bibliográfica se tomó a consideración artículos científicos originales y bibliográficos de páginas con prestigio académicos, sobre el tema planteado, incluyendo a revistas de realce académico como PubMed, Springer, Biomed Central, Scielo, Science Direct empleando así los operadores boléanos and y or; como resultado principal encontramos que La COVID-19 estuvo asociada a una alta morbimortalidad sobre todo en pacientes de la tercera edad y con presencia de enfermedades crónicas, el mayor número de casos se reportó en la región de Europa con un total de 271.008.770 personas infectadas, en Latinoamérica y el caribe se han reportado un total de 79.198.680 de casos y un total de 1.718.058 defunciones, por ende, los autores concluyen que mayor parte de las alteraciones dislipidémicas causadas por el COVID-19 según los estudios analizados se encontraban en pacientes entre los 40 a 60 años, el género más afectado fue el masculino, a esto se suma la presencia de varias comorbilidades que podrían llegar a aumentar el riesgo de dislipidemias tales como el sobrepeso, sedentarismo y diabetes.es-ES
