dc.descriptionThe financial cooperative sector of Ecuador was affected by the inadequate financial decision-making process due to the Covid-19 pandemic and national stoppages that negatively influenced financial management indicators. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the external environment of the financial cooperative sector through the CAMEL method for the recognition of the organizational financial management of the sector. The study group was made up of 38 Savings and Credit Cooperatives from segment 1. The results determined that the financial management of the cooperative sector had a negative impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic (H1=0.09; r= -0.891). and national stoppages (H2=0.09; r= 0.90), events that occurred in the period 2018-2021. For this reason, positive correlations were found between financial management, asset quality and profitability, while inflation and liquidity registered negative correlations. From this, it was concluded that due to the restructuring of collection management, the delinquency indicator stabilized and remained within optimal standards. However, due to the national stoppages, the country risk caused an economic recession in the country, which affected the study sector.en-US
dc.descriptionEl sector cooperativista financiero del Ecuador se vio afectado por el inadecuado proceso de decisiones financieras debido a la pandemia Covid-19 y paralizaciones nacionales que influyeron negativamente sobre los indicadores de gestión financiera. El propósito del estudio fue analizar el efecto del entorno externo del sector cooperativista financiero mediante el método CAMEL para el reconocimiento de la gestión financiera organizacional del sector. El grupo de estudio estuvo conformado por 38 Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito del segmento 1. Los resultados determinaron que la gestión financiera del sector cooperativista tuvo un impacto negativo provocado por la pandemia Covid-19 (H1=0,09; r= -0,891) y las paralizaciones nacionales (H2=0,09; r= 0,90), eventos acontecidos en el periodo 2018-2021. Por tal razón, se evidenciaron correlaciones positivas entre la gestión financiera, calidad de activos y rentabilidad, mientras que, la inflación y liquidez registraron correlaciones negativas. A partir de ello, se concluyó que a causa de la reestructuración de la gestión de cobranza se estabilizó el indicador de mora y se mantuvo dentro de los estándares óptimos. No obstante, a causa de las paralizaciones nacionales, el riesgo país ocasionó una recesión económica en el país, lo cual afectó al sector de estudio.es-ES
