dc.descriptionThe aim of this bibliographic article is to investigate the adverse effect of orthodontic traction. The data were collected on the basis of electronic information such as: Science, Taylor & Francis, Scopus, ProQuest, BVS, PubMed, Redalyc. Three combinations of keywords "Adverse effects", "Traction", "Impacted tooth" were used, related to each other with Boolean "AND" terms from the year 2010 to 2022. Adverse movement to traction is one of the pathologies with the highest incidence, occurring more in the female sex and in the palatal region. Complications of orthodontic traction such as excessive forces produce root resorption, loss of anchorage, undesirable movements in the teeth that can lead to relapse of the treatment, another point to take into account during anchorage is the type of attachment used for traction (microimplant) and the biomechanics according to the position of the impacted piece.en-US
dc.descriptionEl objetivo de este artículo bibliográfico es investigar el efecto adverso de la tracción ortodóncica. Los datos fueron recolectados sobre la base de la información electrónica como: Science, Taylor & Francis, Scopus, ProQuest, BVS, PubMed, Redalyc. Se utilizaron tres combinaciones de palabras claves “Efectos adversos”, “Tracción”, “Diente impactado”, relacionadas entre sí con los términos booleanos “AND” desde el año 2010 hasta 2022. El movimiento adverso a la tracción es una de las patologías con mayor incidencia, presentándose más en el sexo femenino y en la región palatina. Las complicaciones de las tracciones ortodónticas como las fuerzas excesivas producen reabsorción radicular, pérdida de anclaje, movimientos indeseables en los dientes que pueden llevar a una recidiva al tratamiento, otro punto a tener en cuenta durante el anclaje, es el tipo de aditamento que se usa para la tracción (microimplante) y la biomecánica de acuerdo a la posición de la pieza impactada.es-ES
