dc.descriptionThe study of hepatitis B is of great current interest in health sciences, since it constitutes a public health problem, the hepatitis B virus is a common viral agent that chronically infects almost 400 million people in the world. The objective of this study was to analyze the liver profile, Hepatitis B and risk factors in adults in Latin America. A high prevalence of the Hepatitis B virus was found in Peru and Venezuela, in relation to diagnostic tests, an increase in transaminases was evidenced in the presence of this virus. In reference to serological markers, the surface antigen is the proof of excellence. A high prevalence of the virus was found in countries with a low and medium economy, in Latin America the countries with a high prevalence are Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. On the other hand, the main risk factor was blood transfusions.en-US
dc.descriptionEl estudio de la hepatitis B es de gran interés actual en las ciencias de la salud, ya que constituye un problema de salud pública, el virus de la hepatitis B es un agente viral común que infecta de forma crónica a casi 400 millones de personas en el mundo. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar el perfil hepático, Hepatitis B y factores de riesgo en adultos en América latina. Se encontró una alta prevalencia del virus de la Hepatitis B en Perú y en Venezuela, en relación a las pruebas diagnósticas se evidencio un aumento de las transaminasas en presencia de este virus. En referencia a los marcadores serológicos el antígeno de superficie es la prueba de excelencia. Se encontró una alta prevalencia del virus en países con una economía baja y media, en América Latina los países que presentan una alta prevalencia son Perú, Colombia y Venezuela. Por otro lado el principal factor de riesgo fue las transfusiones sanguíneas.es-ES
