dc.descriptionOccupational exposure refers to the level of risk that a worker maintains in his workplace. In the case of health personnel, they are exposed to contracting various infectious diseases that are commonly treated in hospitals. This work is a review of the literature, with the objective of analyzing the occupational exposure and risk of acquired infectious diseases in the personnel of the health area. The methodology entails a study with a documentary design, of an informative, exploratory type with the purpose of collecting and synthesizing findings of investigations carried out by other authors, for which an electronic search was carried out in the main databases of indexed publications of the last 5 years. In the results we have that among the most common infections are Covid-19, tuberculosis, common cold, HIV, among others; Its prevalence being conditioned by various factors, and its prevalence may be low as in Lyme disease or high as in Covid-19; being the most affected groups respiratory therapists, graduates, doctors among others. It is concluded that it is necessary to increase the responsibility of health personnel in compliance with precautionary measures and thus avoid risks from common infectious diseases.en-US
dc.descriptionLa exposición ocupacional refiere al nivel de riesgo que mantiene un trabajador en su lugar de trabajo, en el caso del personal de salud estos se encuentran expuestos a contraer diversas enfermedades infecciosas que se tratan comúnmente en los entes hospitalarios. Este trabajo se trata de una revisión de la literatura, con el objetivo de analizar la exposición ocupacional y riesgo de enfermedades infecciosas adquiridas en el personal del área de la salud. La metodología conlleva un estudio con diseño documental, de tipo informativa, exploratoria con la finalidad de recopilar y sintetizar hallazgos de investigaciones realizadas por otros autores, para lo cual se realizó una búsqueda electrónica en las principales bases de datos de publicaciones indexadas de los últimos 5 años. En los resultados tenemos que entre las infecciones más comunes están el Covid-19, tuberculosis, resfriado común, VIH, entre otras; siendo su prevalencia condicionada por varios factores pudiendo ser está prevalencia baja como en la enfermedad de Lyme o alta como en el Covid-19; siendo los grupos más afectados los terapistas respiratorios, licenciadas, médicos entre otros. Se concluye que es necesario incrementar la responsabilidad del personal de salud en el cumplimiento de las medidas de precaución y así evitar riesgos por las enfermedades infecciosas comunes.es-ES
