dc.descriptionThe present research work was developed before and during the health emergency situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí of the Portoviejo canton, Republic of Ecuador, its main objective was to analyze the level of underemployment in the students of the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences. Regarding the methodology, the research method was present, based on a deductive and analytical study, in relation to the types of research, the quantitative and descriptive were present. In this way, data were collected that conceptualized the different definitions of underemployment throughout history and its relationship with wages. The research was descriptive and correlational. The approach was quantitative, a survey was applied through Google FORM, where timely information could be obtained. The results showed that FCAE have constant problems when wanting to get an adequate job that goes according to their specialization, this due to the lack of experience that is not acquired in the training process. Currently there are many individuals in the capacity of unemployment and underemployment, who are in the process of training or even with a university degree and because of labor distortions do not work in the branch that have been specialized and in many cases occupy precarious jobs that threaten the well-being and quality of life of their families.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente trabajo investigativo se desarrolló antes y durante la situación de emergencia sanitaria de la pandemia COVID-19, en la Facultad de Ciencias Administrativa y Económicas de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí del cantón Portoviejo, Republica del Ecuador, tuvo como objetivo principal analizar el nivel de subempleo en los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas y Económicas. En cuanto a la metodología estuvo presente el método de investigación, basándose en un estudio deductivo y analítico, en relación a los tipos de investigación se encontraron presentes el cuantitativo y descriptivo. De esta manera, se recolectaron datos que conceptualizaron las diferentes definiciones del subempleo a lo largo de la historia y su relación con el salario. La investigación fue descriptiva y correlacional. El enfoque fue cuantitativo, se aplicó una encuesta a través de Google FORM, donde se pudo obtener información oportuna. Los resultados evidenciaron que los estudiantes de la FCAE tienen constantes problemas al momento de querer conseguir un empleo adecuado que vaya acorde a su especialización, esto debido a la falta de experiencia que no se adquieren en el proceso de formación. Actualmente hay muchos individuos en calidad de desempleo y subempleo, que se encuentran en proceso de formación o incluso con un título universitario y por causa de las distorsiones laborales no se desempeñan en la rama que han sido especializados y en muchos casos ocupan puestos de trabajos precarios que atentan con el bienestar y la calidad de vida de sus familias.es-ES
