dc.descriptionThe purpose of the research was carried out in order to analyze the application of biosafety in times of the COVID-19 pandemic. A bibliographic review was carried out based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Public Health, the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization. Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, in addition, search information was collected from Dialnet, World Wide Science, Google Scholar, Scielo, Science Direct, PubMed, Redalyc, Medical Journal allowing to describe the regulations standardized in pandemic COVID-19 such as hand hygiene, the use of masks, social distancing, personal protective equipment and isolation in case of contact with a positive for COVID-19, referring to health personnel standards applied within institutions that work as measures that guarantee the protection of health workers and groups vulnerable people, such as the provision of the correct personal protective equipment. In order for these methods to be applied, the reasons why regulations are breached are detailed, such as the double use of a mask affects breathing and causes agitation, the prolonged use of gowns for many hours increases the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and others. pathogens between patients. dc.descriptionEl propósito de la investigación se ejecutó con la finalidad de analizar la aplicación de la bioseguridad en tiempos de pandemia de la COVID-19. Se manejó una revisión bibliográfica en base a lineamientos del Ministerio de Salud Pública, organización Mundial de la Salud , Organización  Panamericana de la Salud , Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades , National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Deseases adicionalmente se recopilo información de búsqueda   Dialnet, World Wide Science, Google Académico, Scielo, Science Direct, PubMed, Redalyc, Medical Journal  permitiendo describir las normativas estandarizadas en pandemia COVID-19 como la higiene de manos, el uso de mascarillas, el distanciamiento social, el equipo de protección personal y el aislamiento en caso de contacto con un positivo para COVID-19, referente al personal de salud normas aplicadas dentro de las instituciones que laboran como medidas que garanticen la protección de los trabajadores sanitarios y grupos vulnerables, tales como la provisión de los equipos de protección individual correctos. Con la finalidad que estos métodos sean aplicados se detalla causas por las cuales se llega incumplir las normativas como el uso doble de mascarilla afecta la respiración y ocasiona agitación, el uso prolongado de batas por muchas horas aumenta el riesgo de transmisión de COVID-19 y otros patógenos entre pacientes. La bioseguridad aplicada en pandemia son estrategias que se implementa de acorde a las necesidades que se irán actualizando, dependiendo que vayan apareciendo nuevos virus durante los próximos años.es-ES
