Neste trabalho a importância de se efetuar mudanças substancias nos currículos de Engenharia para absorver as novas tecnologias de ensino e exercício da profissão do engenheiro do século XXI é discutida. Uma proposta de mudança da disciplina introdutória do ensino de informática para os estudantes de engenharia é apresentada. A introdução das novas tecnologias no ensino da matemática é ilustrada através de um exemplo para a disciplina de Álgebra Linear.In this work the importance of making substantial changes in the engineering curricula to absorb the new teaching technologies and professional practice of the 21st century engineer is discussed. A proposal of changing the introductory discipline of the Computer Science teaching for the engineering students are presented. The introduction of the new technologies in the teaching of the mathematics are illustrated with an example for the Linear Algebra course.
