| dc.description | The present investigation aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude to occupational accidents in students of the biological type III, IV and V level study at the School of Nursing at the University ofthe Peruvian Amazon, !quitos 2010. The method was quantitative and non experimental, descriptive orrelational. The population was 122 students and the sample consisted of 95 students, obtained by stratified probability sarnpling. The technique was the interview and instruments were the questionnaire on knowledge and attitude and Likert-type scale on biological occupational accidents (90.5% validity, reliability of 75.9%) and Likert-type scale (86.9% validity, reliability 80.7%). Data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0. For the hypotheses we used Pearson's r, with a significance level a = 0.05, allowing to determine the relationship of variables with a confidence level of 95%. The major findings were: 57.9% (55) students had inadequate knowledge and 42.1% (40) had adequate knowledge, 85.3% (81) students had
negative attitude and 14. 7% (14) students had positive attitude towards occupational accidents biological type. In establishing the relationship between knowledge and attitudes toward occupational accidents Biological type was obtained fxy = 0.276, P = 0.007 to p <0.05, allowing approve the research hypothesis: There is significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude to occupational accidents in students of the biological type III, IV
and V level of study at the Faculty of Nursing, National University of the

| dc.description | El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo por objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitud hacia los accidentes ocupacionales de tipo biológico en estudiantes del III, IV y V Nivel de estudio de la Facultad de Enfermería de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana, !quitos 2010. El método empleado fue cuantitativo y el diseño no experimental, descriptivo correlaciona!. La población fue de 122 estudiantes y la muestra estuvo conformando por 95 estudiantes, obtenida mediante el muestreo probabilístico estratificado. La técnica fue la entrevista y los instrumentos fueron el
Cuestionario sobre conocimiento y la escala de actitud tipo Likert sobre accidentes ocupacionales de tipo biológico (validez de 90.5%, confiabilidad de 75.9%) y la escala de tipo Likert (validez 86.9%, confiabilidad 80.7%). Los datos se analizaron a través del paquete estadístico SPSS versión 18.0. Para la contrastación de hipótesis se empleó r de Pearson, con un nivel de significancia a= 0.05, que permitió determinar la relación de variables; con un nivel de confianza de 95%. Los hallazgos importantes fueron: 57.9% (55) estudiantes
presentaron un conocimiento inadecuado y 42.1% (40) tuvieron conocimiento adecuado; 85.3% (81) estudiantes presentaron actitud negativa y 14. 7% (14) estudiantes, tuvieron actitud positiva hacia accidentes ocupacionales de tipo biológico. Al establecer la relación entre conocimiento y actitudes hacia accidentes ocupacionales de tipo Biológico se obtuvo una rxy = 0.276; p= 0.007 para p< 0.05, lo que pemlitió aprobar la hipótesis de la investigación: existe relación estadística significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitud hacia los accidentes ocupacionales de tipo biológico en estudiantes del III, IV y V nivel de estudio de la Facultad de enfermería de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana. | |
