| dc.description | With the aim of creating mechanisms for the valuation of traditional knowledge associated with the use and conservation of biological diversity, the National Council of Protected Areas formulated educational guides for the teaching of biocultural heritage, whose target population is primary level students of the Achi Mayan people from Rabinal, in the department of Baja Verapaz and the Tz’utujil Mayan people of San Juan la Laguna, in the department of Sololá, Guatemala. This analysis presents the methodology used for the development of the educational guides, the contribution of these as material for an education with cultural relevance and the scope of the local curricular concretion, as well as the reflections on the challenges that must be faced to achieve a full and effective application of the educational guides. | en-US |
| dc.description | Con el objetivo de crear mecanismos para la valoración de los conocimientos tradicionales asociados al uso y conservación de la diversidad biológica, el Consejo Nacional de Áreas Protegidas formuló guías educativas para la enseñanza del patrimonio biocultural, cuya población meta son estudiantes de nivel primario del pueblo maya Achi del municipio de Rabinal, en el departamento de Baja Verapaz y el pueblo maya Tz’utujil del municipio San Juan la Laguna, en el departamento de Sololá, Guatemala. Este análisis presenta la metodología utilizada para el desarrollo de las guías educativas, el aporte de éstas principalmente como material para una educación con pertinencia cultural y el alcance de la concreción curricular local, así como las reflexiones sobre los desafíos que se deben afrontar para lograr una plena y efectiva aplicación del material educativo. | es-ES |
