| dc.description | This article exposes a theoretical-methodological reflection on the invention of traditions in the study of the Septembrinian civic festivals through the Guatemalan press in the period from 1944 to 1957. It also analyzes the poems as materialization of the national identity in the discursive plane. The patriotic festivities inspired the nationalist sentiment, an emotion that is indispensable for the insertion of the population in that imaginary community called the Guatemalan nation. | en-US |

Asimismo, realiza un análisis de los poemas como materialización de la identidad nacional en el plano discursivo. Los festejos patrios inspiraron el sentimiento nacionalista, emoción indispensable para lograr insertar a la población en esa comunidad imaginaria llamada nación guatemalteca. | es-ES |
