| dc.description | This article provides an account of the historical background of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the international practice after its adoption, assessing its evolutionary development in International Human Rights Law. Also, its current legal status as part of the International Bill of Human Rights and its customary value, will be analyzed. Lastly, some recommendations for the incorporation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its observance by national authorities in Panama will be given. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente trabajo ofrece un relato de los antecedentes históricos de la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos y la práctica internacional subsecuente a su adopción, planteándose su desarrollo evolutivo dentro del derecho internacional de los derechos humanos. Igualmente, se analiza su estatus jurídico actual como parte de la Carta internacional de los Derechos Humanos y su valor consuetudinario. Por último, se realizan una serie de recomendaciones para la República de Panamá en cuanto a la plena incorporación de la Declaración Universal dentro del ordenamiento jurídico nacional y su debida observancia por parte de las autoridades. | es-ES |
